Lyndsy Emley and Cory Poulsen, both of Lenexa, were married in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 11, 2008, at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Prairie Village. The bride is the daughter of Larry and Patti McGee of Paola and Ken and Becky Emley of Leawood. The groom is the son of Jack and Deb Poulsen of Ericson, Neb. The Rev. Cheryl Schmeling performed the ceremony. The wedding colors were black and white. The bride was escorted to the altar and given in marriage by her father. She was wearing a white strapless A-line gown with a cuff neckline and a pleated black sash at the waist. A sweep train complemented the ensemble. Tauni Brooks served as maid of honor. Jenni Huls and the groom’s sisters, Mandy Poulsen and Ali Poulsen, were bridesmaids. They wore black dresses. The bride’s niece, Lola Emley, was the flower girl. Best man was Matt Poulson, the groom’s brother. Groomsmen were Jon Alvarado, Scott Wright and Kevin Watson. Cory Emley, the bride’s brother, and Drew Kasselder and Adam Freouf were ushers. A reception was held at The Pavilion in Shawnee. The couple took a wedding trip to St. Lucia. They are at home in Lenexa.
