With video cameras rolling and cameras flashing, Cottonwood second- grade classes and their music teacher, Beth Taggert, presented an evening of holiday music Dec.2 in the Paola Middle School auditorium. The standing room only audience made up of parents, siblings, grandparents and friends listened to the combined second grades. Deb Keller’s class sang “Red, Green, and White,” Stacie Boehm’s “Christmas Time,” Erin Capettini’s “Hanukkah Menorah,” Janice McWilliams’ “Where Is Santa,” Maggie Koechner’s “Hear the Bells,” and Michelle Haley’s “Christmas Day is Coming Soon.” The combined classes sang “Deck the Halls,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Hanukkah, Oh Hannukah,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “Jingle Bells,” “Jolly Old St. Nicholas” and “Over the River.” A small group of singers included Kaitlynn Taylor, Makayla Goodwin, Brandon Lee, Malia Czepcinski, Kailey Johnson and Kelsey Lester.
