Different classes came together to sing as one for some songs, while others took center stage to treat the audience of educators, parents and other family members to a special show. The fifth-grade students drew laughs from the crowd throughout their theatrical performance of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." The third-grade class also got a chuckle from the human snowman it created during a performance of "Frosty the Snowman." The crowd even was invited to sing along during traditional favorites such as "Joy to the World," "Silent Night" and "Deck the Halls." The Dec. 16 performance was just one of the school's holiday events last week. Principal Amy Hastert said students also participated in Polar Express activities on Dec. 17 and caroled at the Hillsdale Post Office on Dec. 18.
