 Thirteen was a lucky number for the Paola Kids Wrestling Club, which claimed 13 titles in its home invitational.
In a day full of wrestling, the Panthers put together some dominating performances Dec. 27.
Parking was at a premium for the event, which used the main gymnasium and the multipurpose room at Paola High School to accommodate the action.
John Evans, Brian Evans, Keehan Slyter, Logan Elbrader, Kale Clark, Blaine Ray, Seth Burnett, Bryan Burnett, Isaac Dulgarian, Jake Elbrader, Cullen Hood, Jake Bradley and Joseph Pomatto each won titles for the Paola Kids Wrestling Club.
John Evans of Paola scored a 9-6 decision and a 14-4 major decision on his way to a 2-1 record and first place in the 52-pound B class for the 8-year-old and under division.
Brian Evans of Paola was 3-0 with a pin and two decisions for first place at 46 pounds in the 6-year-old and under division.
Slyter of Paola placed first in the 49-pound B class. Slyter was 2-0 with two pins.
Twin brothers Luke and Logan Elbrader of Paola placed first and second in the 43-49 pound weight class for the 8-year-old and under division. Logan Elbrader scored an 8-0 decision to win the title. Luke Elbrader advanced to the finals with a 12-0 major decision and a 15-0 technical fall. Logan Elbrader opened with a bye and then scored a 13-0 major decision to advance to the finals. He did not allow a single point to be scored against him in the tournament.
Clark placed first at 70 pounds. He was 3-0, including a 2-0 decision and a 6-4 decision to advance to the finals.
Ray was 4-0 with four pins for first place at 85 pounds in the 10-year-old and under division.
 Seth Burnett pinned Nate Ryan of the Cougars for first place in the 100-110 pound weight class. He advanced to the finals with a 4-0 decision and and 8-4 decision.
Bryan Burnett was 3-0 with two pins for first place in the 12-year-old and under 88-pound B division. He scored a 16-4 major decision and two pins to
post a perfect record on the day.
Dulgarian went 3-0 for first place at 96 pounds. He had a 13-0 major decision and two pins on the day.
Jake Elbrader posted three pins in a 3-0 run to the 75-85 pound title in the 14-year-old and under division.
Hood won the 90-100 pound title with a 4-0 record. Hood pinned his way through the tournament.
Bradley was 3-0 for first place at 145-150 pounds. He scored a 6-0 decision, a 15-0 technical fall and one pin.
Pomatto went 4-0 with a pair of pins and two decisions to win the title at 175-205 pounds. Pomatto scored a 3-2 decision and a 12-0 technical fall to go with his two pins.
