David Warren Minden, 54, Lawrence, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009.

He was born March 14, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ralph and Bertha Simancik Minden. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in 1972. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Kansas.
He was employed at B.F. Ascher Pharmaceuticals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Elizabeth Minden and stepsister, Christine Stephens.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Minden; son, Brandt Minden; brother, Gary J. Minden of McLouth, Kan.; stepbrothers, Tim Windler of Salina and Greg Windler of Paola; and stepsister, Becky Stutzman of Paola.

Services were Sunday. Arrangements were by Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, (913) 631-5566.
  •     Memorials in David’s memory may be made in lieu of flowers to Autism Speaks, 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite No. 2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
