Mary Katherine Hudgeons, 85, formerly of Casper, Wyo., and Coolidge, Ariz., died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Catholic Care Center in Wichita.

She was born May 17, 1923 in Dawson Springs, Ky., to Patrick Canser and Baine McKinley Parker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hudgeons.

She is survived by her son, Michael S. Hudgeons of Paola; and daughter, Kathy Gann-McCoy of Wichita; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Private services were held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita. Arrangements were handled by Downing & Lahey Mortuary East, 6555 E. Central St., Wichita, KS 67206, (316) 682-4553.
  •     In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with The Priests’ Retirement and Education Fund to benefit Seminarians and the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School Fund, both at 424 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67202.
