Donald and Paula Armstrong of Paola announce the engagement of their son, Kyle Armstrong of Olathe, to Erica Powers of Pittsburg, Kan. The bride-elect is the daughter of Rick and Patti Powers of Joplin, Mo. She is a 2002 graduate of Pittsburg State University and is a special education teacher at Pittsburg Community Middle School. The groom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of Pittsburg State University. He is employed as a senior network administrator at Labat Anderson Inc. in Lenexa. The couple plans to be married May 30 at Forest Park Baptist Church in Joplin.
