Lynne Foster has been practicing massage therapy for several years. The Spring Hill resident has recently been approved for a license to operate in Spring Hill at Perfect Details, 516 N. Webster St. Foster has worked with cyclist, runners and has assisted residents in Assistant Living places. “What better job can you have?” Foster said. “People are happy to see you and are happy when they leave. You never know what massages can do.” She currently operates out of her Spring Hill home, located in a wooded area near the Hillsdale Lake. Foster said she contracted with other people before, but enjoys working out of her home. Her screen porch, which overlooks a pond on a trail leading to her home, is a relaxing spot. “Usually when people find a massage therapist it’s like finding a hair dresser,” Foster said. “They stay with the one they like.” Foster specializes in chair massage, hot stones, Swedish Massage, deep muscle and prenatal. She said the doula services she provides helps make pregnancies easier for women. “They call me when they’re admitted to the hospital,” Foster said. “My first time mothers had their babies in four hours. I get to see the baby born, I stand right there by the doctor.” She said the practice can help out in several stressful situations, including weddings. “I think every bride and groom should give their parents a gift certificate for all the aggravation they put them through,” Foster said. “I used to have a sewing business, and I saw how stressed out the mothers were.” Foster can be reached at (913) 638-4448.
