Hit, run and score was the name of the game as the Rockies took on the Royals in a Paola Cal Ripken League T-ball game at Wallace Park on Thursday evening.

The Rockies and the Royals combined for 54 runs on 54 hits in three innings, ending in a 27-27 tie.

There were six home runs, all coming to the last batter, who gets to run the bases until he steps on home plate.

For the 5- and 6-year-old division T-ball, the players hit off the tee for two innings and then have the opportunity to hit a thrown ball from the coach in the third inning.

Runners get one base per hit, until the last batter, when all runners can circle the bases.

Evan Kendrick, Bobby Hire and Owen Prothe hit home runs as last batters for the Rockies, who rotated their batting order every inning.

Clayton Essex hit three home runs as last batter for the Royals, who stuck with the same batting order for the entire game.

Kendrick, Hire and Prothe each had two singles, a home run and three runs scored.

Gus Wright had three singles and scored three runs for the Rockies. Lucas Edwards had three singles and scored three runs. Cael Sinclair had three singles and scored three runs.

Camren Sinclair had three singles and scored three runs. Jacob Sanders had three singles and scored three times. Bo Robison hit three singles and scored three runs.

Essex had three home runs and three runs scored for the Royals.

Skylas Schulista had three singles and scored three runs. Aiden Hartig hit three singles and scored three times. Aaron Smith singled three times and scored three runs.

Brandon Gibson singled three times with three runs scored. Van Dawdy hit three singles and scored three times. Nick Fisher singled three times and scored three runs.

Joel Feldman singled three times with three runs scored. Seth Aistrup singled three times and scored three runs.

Members of the Rockies were Lucas Edwards, Bobby Hire, Evan Kendrick, Owen Prothe, Bo Robison, Jacob Sanders, Cael Sinclair, Camren Sinclair and Gus Wright. The Rockies are coached by Dan Kendrick.

Members of the Royals are Seth Aistrup, Van Dawdy, Clayton Essex, Joel Feldman, Nick Fisher, Brandon Gibson, Aiden Hartig, Jonas Sanders, Skylas Schulista and Aaron Smith. The Royals are coached by Greg Aistrup, Randy Smith and Bruce and Natalie Hartig.
