 The parents of Emmy Valizan and Michael Hobart, all of Spring Hill, are announcing their children’s engagement.The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charlie and Donna Valizan. She is a 2000 graduate of Spring Hill High School and a 2006 graduate of the College of Hair Design. She works at Park Plaza Hair Styling in Paola. The groom-elect is the son of Bill and Donna Hobart. He is a 2001 Spring Hill High School graduate and became certified as a paramedic in 2006. He is employed at Johnson County Med-Act and MAST. The couple plans to be married at Mahaffie Farmstead in Olathe on Oct. 10.
