| Karrs celebrate 50 years of marriage |

 Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Karr of Paola celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a sit-down dinner with family and friends June 27 at the New Lancaster United Methodist Church. The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren. Glenn Karr and Jacque Diamond were married June 28, 1959, in Independence, Kan. They then made their home on a farm in rural Paola. Mr. Karr was a farmer and rancher. Mrs. Karr retired after working as the secretary at the First Lutheran Church. The couple’s three children and their spouses are Scott and Jennifer Karr, John and Lisa Karr and John and Suzy Karigan, all of Paola. They also have nine grandchildren. After dinner everyone went to Mr. and Mrs. Karr’s home for socializing. Three members of their wedding party were in attendance at the dinner. The following day, the couple’s children and grandchildren accompanied them to church.
