Phyllis D. Hahn, 47, Osawatomie, died Saturday at Life Care Center in Osawatomie.

She was born Aug. 13, 1961, in Paola to Henry and Connie Obrien Bachman. She grew up in Osawatomie and graduated from Paola High School in 1979.

On Sept. 4, 1981, she married David J. Hahn in Osawatomie, where they made their home, and together they raised three children. She helped with the family farm, drove a bus for the school district for many years, worked at Casey’s making donuts, and was a loving mother, grandmother and wife.
She enjoyed quilting, puzzles, watching grandkids and helping them learn to cook and loved making cinnamon rolls and donuts for family and friends. She was a member of the Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxiliary, both of Osawatomie.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Connie.

Survivors are her father, Henry Bachman of Coats, Kan.; husband, David of the home; two daughters, Maria K. Worrell of Paola and Marcella D. Jackson of Osawatomie; son, David J. Hahn Jr. of Elk City, Okla.; seven grandchildren; brother Bill Butler and sister Brenda Bachman, both of Osawatomie, brother Pat Butler of La Cygne, sister Erin Crouch of Coats, and sister Anjennette Adlong of Phoeniz, Ariz. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel. Burial will follow at the Osawatomie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Miami County Cancer Society.
