The Trinity Lutheran Church of Paola was the setting for the June 20, 2009, wedding of Alli Garrison and Robby Manthei. The bride is the daughter of Bill and Davina Garrison of Paola. She was given in marriage by her father. Her husband is the son of Rob and Tammy Manthei of Shawnee. The Rev. Kurt Rutz conducted the double-ring ceremony. Linda Oberheide was the organist. Candlelighters were Eric Haefele and Caylin Garrison. Megan Metzler was the bride’s honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Heather Pfannes, Kelly Garrison, Sarah Manthei and Trisha Manthei. Ally and Emma Irwin were the flower girls. Best man was Kyle Whitaker, and groomsmen were Mark Schmidt, Alex Warn, Austin Wolfe, Chris Johnson and William Service. Nathan and Matthew Haefele served as ushers. Guest book attendant was Abby Wolfe. A reception was held at the Paola Eagles Lodge. Mrs. Manthei is a graduate of Pittsburg State University. She is a teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District. The bridegroom is a graduate of Pittsburg State University and is employed at Straub Construction. After a wedding trip to Clearwater, Fla., the couple is at home in Shawnee.
