Beulah Jean Everhart 1920-2009 Beulah Jean Everhart, 88, Paola, died Aug. 10, 2009, at Miami County Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 25, 1920, to Roy T. and Edith Vivian Faulkner Richardson in Gridley, Kan. Known as Jean, she attended Osawatomie High School. Oct. 23, 1938, she married Dale Everhart at a friend’s home in Virgil, Kan. In 1938, they moved to the Everhart family farm in rural Paola, where she raised chickens and sold eggs while her husband farmed. She was a member of the Wagstaff Social Club, First Presbyterian Church, Wild Bunch Supper Club at the Paola Country Club, Olathe Trail Riders, Elks, Eagles Club and several bridge clubs. She enjoyed bowling, canning, playing bridge, dancing, was an avid Jeopardy! watcher, enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren how to play cards, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Rex, Bud and Dale Richardson, and a great-grandson, Nicholas. Survivors are her husband, Dale of Paola; three sons, Rick Everhart of Garnett, Alan and wife Lisa Everhart and Larry and wife Carol Everhart, all of Paola; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her husband and family. Services were Saturday followed by burial in the Wagstaff Cemetery. Arrangements were by Penwell-Gabel Paola Chapel, 305 N.
