| Atteberys celebrate 50 years together |

Harold and Valeta Attebery of Paola celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by taking a one-week vacation trip to Rapid City, S.D. The former Valeta Miller and Harold Attebery were married Sept. 4, 1959, in Paola. They are Paola natives, graduates of Paola High School and have spent most of their lives in the Paola area. The couple have three children, Dodie Trickett of Odessa, Texas, Tod Attebery of Paola and Debbie Robbins of La Cygne. They have six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. Attebery worked at Clemens & Green in Paola, IGA grocery stores in Ottawa, Garnett and Paola, and Buy Rite and Price Chopper, also in Paola, retiring several years ago as a manager. His hobbies include playing Texas Hold ’Em, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Mrs. Attebery worked at several occupations before owning and operating the former Little People’s World Day Care in Paola for many years. She enjoys playing bingo.
