Kansas Day is back in Paola on Jan. 30 at the Paola National Guard Armory. The event will be in conjunction with the Paola Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. Both events are being sponsored by the Paola Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Club under the direction of Brenda Wrischnik. Kansas Day originated in Paola and ceremonies have been conducted for several years, except for last year when the ball was dropped and was picked up in Osawatomie. Space will be limited at the Armory as the drill floor is 40x80 feet and there is only one small classroom available. The joint event will follow the lines of businesses exhibiting their wares and old time demonstrations, food booths and entertainment along the lines of Kansas Day.
