The community is preparing to give a special honor to veterans on Saturday. The Cole-Smith Post 350 of the American Legion and Auxiliary along with Spring Hill Historical Society will pay tribute along with local students, dignitaries and a special military guest from Ft. Leavenworth for the fourth annual Veterans Day celebration. After the ceremony, food and fellowship will be provided by the auxiliary. Organizations involved are accepting donations to help fund future community service projects. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Spring Hill Civic Center, 401 N.
