OTTAWA — Two meets into the season, the Paola Middle School wrestling team has won 60 of its 83 matches. The Panthers won 37 of 49 matches at Ottawa on Nov. 2 and opened the season with 23 match wins and 11 losses at home on Oct. 29. Daniel Dees, wrestling at 94 pounds, went 3-0 at Ottawa for Paola with two pins and an 8-2 decision.  Dees was one of 15 Paola wrestlers who went undefeated at Ottawa. Ryan Brocker, 99 pounds, was 2-0 with two pins. Isaac Dulgarian, 109 pounds, was 2-0 with two pins. Jaymes Carter, 109 pounds, was 2-0 with one pin and a 7-0 decision. Kyler Blankenbiller, 109 pounds, went 2-0 with a 4-0 decision and pin. Kyndon Tarter, 109 pounds, won two matches. He had a pin and won a 10-5 decision. Marcus Rademacher, 109 pounds, was 2-0, winning both of his matches with pins. Jake Robison, 111 pounds, won both of his matches. Robison had a pin and scored a 16-1 decision. Conner Maynard, 118 pounds, had to battle to go undefeated on the day. Maynard pinned one opponent and then scored a 6-4 overtime victory for his 2-0 record. Ben Rodriguez, 119 pounds, went 2-0 with a pin and a 4-1 decision. Chase Patton, 123 pounds, was 2-0 with a pin and a 14-5 decision. Karsten Gray, 127 pounds, was 2-0, winning both of his matches with pins. Quentin Garrison, 140 pounds, was 2-0 with a pair of pins. Corey Stallbaumer, 137 pounds, won both of his matches with pins. Brennan Haley, 136 pounds, was 1-0. He scored a 9-3 decision. Dakota Oliver competed in three matches. He was 2-1 with a pair of pins. ExZavier Miller was 2-1 with two pins. Gianni Trook split his matches. He was 1-1 with a 7-6 decision. Kyle Gray was 1-1. He pinned an opponent for a victory. D.J. Mitchell was 1-1 with a decision. Chase Jorgensen was 1-1, posting his victory with a pin. Other Paola wrestlers competing in the event were Blake Sims, Clayton Sims and Joe Buchman. Buchman was 3-0 in the Panthers home meet Oct. 29. He won all three matches with pins. Colt Evans was 2-0 with a 6-1 decision and a 9-7 decision. Kyle Gray, Blankenbiller, Dulgarian, Brocker and Miller were all 2-0. Chase Patton was 2-1. Kyle Hendrickson was 1-1 with one pin. Ben Rodriguez was 1-0 with a pin. Mitchell was 1-0. Garrison was 1-1. Haley went 1-1. Rademacher was 1-1. Other wrestlers competing in the event were Clayton Sims, Blake Sims, Conner Maynard, Karsten Gray, Dominic Ramirez, Jorgensen, Rademacher, Tarter, Robison and Carter.
