PROVO, Utah — Taelor Karr of Paola scored a season-high 17 points to lead the Kansas State University Wildcat women’s basketball team to a 65-62 victory against Brigham Young University on Friday evening. Kansas State, 2-3, used comebacks in each half to pull off the victory, notching its second win of the season. Karr, a 2009 graduate of Paola High School, scored 14 of her 17 points in the first half to fuel Kansas State’s comeback. Karr, a freshman guard, has been starting for Kansas State. Playing against Arkansas State on Nov. 16, Karr made three of seven field goal attempts and was one-for-two at the free-throw line in an 80-79 overtime loss for the Wildcats. Karr has started four of five games this season and is averaging 26.2 minutes and 8.8 points per game on the season. Taelor is the daughter of John and Lisa Karr and Mark and Toni Bradley.
