LA CYGNE - Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6:35 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the intersection of Kansas Highway 152 and Kansas Highway 7, about eight miles west of La Cygne, in Linn County, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol Report.

A 2004 Ford F-150 pickup driven by James A. Dolan, 20, of Louisburg, was eastbound on W 2100 Road when it attempted to cross the intersection onto K-152 but failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2002 Peterbuilt semi-trailer driven by Bernard K. Dumcum, 72, of La Cygne, that was southbound on K-7, according to the highway patrol report. Both vehicles came to rest on K-7.

Dolan and his passenger, Madison L. Snider, 18, of Kansas City, Kan., were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center with suspected serious injuries, according to the report.

Dumcum was not injured.

All three people were wearing seat belts.
