After a long struggle with Alzheimers, our sweet beloved John A. Kramer Jr. or Jigger to most of us, passed away on May 26, 2019 at the age of 62.
He was born April 14, 1957, in Paola, Kansas, the second of five children born to John A. Kramer and Judith C. (Valliere) Young.
He loved sports and was always active playing baseball, basketball and running. He also enjoyed bowling and once scored a perfect 300 game while playing in a league. His most favorite sport above all others was golf and he loved every minute spent on the course. Jigger spent his whole life making this community his home and is known and loved by many. If you asked anyone in Paola if they knew Jigger they probably did.
He was the proud owner of Quality Painting, which was only one of many business ventures.
He was a 40-year member of the Sons of the American Legion and a member of the Paola Country Club.
He was predeceased by his mother, grandmothers and grandfathers, and several aunts and uncles.
He leaves behind his wife of 25 years Debbie Kramer and their two children, Shannon Kramer (Dan Fletcher) and Brett Duffett (Carol Xie); their grandson, Linus Duffett; father, John (Cherrie) Kramer; sisters, Joelle Kramer, Johna (David) Dial, Jolinda Kramer and Molly (Les) Jones; brothers, Jerol (Tracy) Kramer and Thomas TJ Young; along with many nieces and nephews.
The Kramer Family is planning a Celebration of Life event with a date to be determined, and suggests contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association. As published in the Miami County Republic.
