The historic Mills House in Osawatomie was filled with the scent of “essential oils’ during the May 13 meeting of Chapter DO, P.E.O.

Diana Walker was hostess for the evening, assisted by Kim Fisher.

President Jan Sanders chaired the business meeting, which consisted of committee reports, income from the recent pancake breakfast, a review of proposed amendments to the Kansas State Chapter Constitution and thank-you notes from recent scholarship winners.

Sanders and Nadine Bailey will represent the group at the state convention in June.

Tammy Walmann presented the program, sharing her own experiences using essential oils. She told of their history, present uses, a few cautions and displayed a few from her collection.

Sharon Burgoon, Joy Reavis, Sanders and Fisher each won an oil sample, compliments of the presenter.

The meeting closed with expressions of gratitude and prayer requests. The next meeting will be June 10 at the home of Nancy Tyrrell.
