Monday, July 1, is the opening date of the Heartland Art Guild’s annual miniatures art show.

It will once again be held at the Miami County Historical Museum in Paola. Paintings from all over the world will be on display until Aug. 2. The reception and awards ceremony will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 13.

Those showing their work at Paola businesses for the months of July and August are as follows: Donna Cawley at Security Bank of KC and First Security Bank, Patsy Bortner and Jean Cook at the Miami County Historical Museum (August only), Jean Cook at Great Southern Bank and Landmark National Bank, Mickie Riley at the Paola Free Library, and Kay Oshel at First Option Bank.

There will be no regular meeting in July. The next regular meeting will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Paola Free Library.
