Krause throws two-hitter for Wildcats

OSAWATOMIE – Jakob Krause pitched a two-hitter and Beckett Rasmussen drove home four runs as the Louisburg Wildcat baseball team swept the Osawatomie Trojans on the road.

Krause threw the complete game as the Wildcats won the opener of the two-game series, 6-1, at Karl E. Cole Sports Complex on Friday, April 26.

Rasmussen singled, doubled and drove in four runs as Louisburg completed the sweep, taking the second game 18-2.

Louisburg had a four-run second inning in the first game.

Krause aided his own cause with a double. He drove in one run and scored

Noah Larson and Logan McClellan singled, drove in one run and scored.

Rasmussen had two base hits. Brandon Doles singled and scored. Andrew Krause singled. AJ Drew and Blue Caplinger scored.

Anthony Pursley singled and drove in one run for Osawatomie. Blake Green singled and scored.

Cyrus Kitchen started the game, allowing four runs on three hits. Matthew Fanning and Pursley pitched in relief.

Rasmussen singled, doubled, drove in four runs and scored three runs for the Wildcats in the second game.

Madden Rutherford had three hits, including a double. He drove in four runs and scored twice.

Maverick Rockers had two hits, drove in one run and scored three runs. Jakob Krause singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs.

Matt Madison had two hits, drove in three runs and scored. Larson doubled, drove in one run and scored. Kolby Kattau singled and scored.

McClellan had two base hits, drove in one run and scored. Michael Rogers had two runs scored. Caplinger scored.

McClellan started the game for the Wildcats, allowing two runs on two hits. He struck out five. Rockers pitched a scoreless seventh inning in relief.

Cameron Kobe and Green singled for Osawatomie. Fanning and Kitchen scored.

Vincent Fox started for Osawatomie. Aaron Manes, Pursley and Fanning pitched in relief.

The Louisburg Wildcats lost two games at Anderson County on Thursday, April 25, falling by scores of 4-3 and 9-4.

Rogers had two hits and scored in the first game. He stole two bases.

Doles and McClellan each had a hit and drove home one run. Larson singled and scored. Andrew Krause singled.

Rutherford pitched the complete game, allowing four runs on 10 hits. He struck out nine.

Rutherford had three base hits and scored in the second game.

Kattau doubled, drove in one run and scored. Chase North doubled and scored.

Doles had a base hit and drove home two runs. Larson singled and scored. Rasmussen and Rogers singled.

Doles got the start, allowing seven runs on eight hits in four innings. Andrew Kruse pitched two innings in relief, giving up two runs on two hits.
