GARNETT — Louisburg and Spring Hill battled it out for girls and boys team titles in the Anderson County Invitational.

The Lady Cats held off the Lady Broncos by seven points, 119 to 112, to capture the girls team title at Anderson County High School on Thursday, April 11.

The Spring Hill boys won the boys team title by 65 points. The Broncos posted 216.5 points. Louisburg was runner-up in the team standings with 152.5 points.

Lady Cats

Delaney Wright placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05 and had a leap of 17-1.5 for gold in the long jump. She was second in the 200.

Jordyn Leach, Rain Pugh, Sydnie Keagle and Carless Gassmam led the Lady Cats to first place in the 4x100-meter relay. Louisburg was runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay.

Gassman was second in the 300-meter hurdles and runner-up in the long jump.

Avery Graham placed second in the pole vault.

Broncos

Keen Knittel ran a time of 16.78 for first place in the 110-meter high hurdles. He was runner-up in the 300 hurdles.

Chase Rooney won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 42.98. Rooney placed third in the 110 hurdles.

Noah Verbraken cleared 5-6 for first place in the high jump. Daniel Mitchell was runner-up.

Wyatt O’Leary placed second in the 800-meter run.

Skyler Burke, Navratil Skyler, John Mitchell and Braxton Dixon ran a time of 9:40 for first place in the 4x800-meter relay.

Brenden Meek had a mark of 49-8.75 for first place in the shot put. He was runner-up in the discus.

Alec Waterman, James Barnett, Jordan Norman and Caden Bacon placed second in the 4x100-meter relay.

Hunter Willyard, Rooney, O’Leary and Norman were runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay.

Meade Mason placed second in the long jump.

O’Leary was third in the pole vault.

Waterman placed third in the shot put.

Girls

Champions

Izzy Williams led the Lady Broncos, winning the 100-meter dash in 13.56 and running a time of 27.39 for first place in the 200. She teamed up with Emily Dowd, Jordayn Anderson and Vienna Lahner to win the 4x400-meter relay.

Karolyn Kueser of Osawatomie ran a time of 6:17 for first place in the 1,600-meter run. She was fourth in the 800.

Emma Seidl of Osawatomie won the shot put with a mark of 36-11. She was runner-up in the discus.

Shelby McCain of Prairie View had a mark of 109-7 for first place in the javelin.

Runner-up

Kinley Baker of Prairie View placed second in the 100..

Lahner of Spring Hill was second in the 800-meter run.

Brooke Allen of Prairie View was runner-up in the 1,600.

Lady Bronco Kalia Woodhead placed second in the 3,200.

Alli Frank of Spring Hill placed second in the high jump and runner-up in the triple jump. She placed third in the long jump.

Shelby Dunn of Prairie View was second in the javelin.

Boys

Champions

Blue Caplinger, Justin Collins, Ben Wiedenmann and Chris Williams ran a time of 3:34 for first place in the 4x400-meter relay.

Caplinger of Louisburg ran a time of 11.74 for first place in the 100-meter dash and won the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.18.

Williams of Louisburg won the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.78.

Luke Faulkner of Louisburg cleared 12-6 for first place in the pole vault.

Wildcat Trent Martin won the long jump with a leap of 19-9.5.

Michael Waldren of Louisburg had a mark of 163-10 for first place in the javelin.

Runner-up

Aaron Gulley, Bryce Filipin, Jacob Hollman and Jace Prigel of Osawatomie placed second in the 4x800-meter relay.

Wiedenmann of Louisburg placed second in the 100-meter and 200-meter dash.

O’Rion Davis of Prairie View placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Levi Stanbrook of Prairie View was second in the triple jump.
