WELLSVILLE — The Paola Panther boys captured the team title in the annual Red Bud Relays at Wellsville High School.

Paola won the meet by more than 40 points, scoring 203 points in 14 events Friday, May 3.

Spring Hill was runner-up with 160.5 points. Louisburg placed sixth with 88 points. Prairie View was 11th. Osawatomie finished 14th.

Carson Eilts swept the hurdles for the Panthers. He won the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.27 seconds. Eilts ran down gold in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 39.76.

Preston Martin cleared 13 feet for first place in the pole vault.

The Paola Panthers won the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 43.52. Paola placed third in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:29.07.

Lamont Hill was runner-up in the triple jump with a distance of 41-0. He placed seventh in the long jump.

Seth Richmond and Jeff Schartz placed first and second in the javelin. Richmond won the event with a mark of 177-3. Schartz was runner-up with a mark of 170-0.

Richmond placed third in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 15.71. He was third in the 300-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line in 41.54.

Champions

The Spring Hill Broncos placed first in the 4x400-meter relay to end the meet, crossing the finish line in 3:27.10. Spring Hill ran a time of 43.61 for third place in the 4x100-meter relay.

Jordan Norman of Spring Hill won the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 22.99.

Spring Hill Bronco Brenden Meek had mark of 51-9 for first place in the shot put.

Louisburg Wildcat Kiefer Tucker had a mark of 144-6 for first place in the discus. He tied for ninth place in the shot put.

Louisburg won the 4x100-meter throwers relay with a time of 48.37.

Runner-Up

James Barnett of Spring Hill placed second in the 100-meter dash.

Ryan Wokutch of Paola was second in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 100.

Hunter Willyard of Spring Hill placed in the 400-meter dash.

Chase Rooney of Spring Hill placed second in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Noah Verbraken of Spring Hill was second in the high jump.

Wyatt O’Leary of Spring Hill placed second in the pole vault.

Louisburg was second in the 4x400-meter relay.

Spring Hill was runner-up in the 4x800-meter relay.

Bronze

Brandon Cooper of Louisburg placed third in the 100-meter dash.

Chase Robbins of Paola placed third in the high jump. He placed fourth in the triple jump and eighth in the long jump.

Kaden Fields of Osawatomie placed third in the discus.

Michael Waldren of Louisburg had a mark of 152-5 for third place in the javelin.
