PAOLA — The Paola Panthers and Lady Panthers were runner-up in the Frontier League meet at Paola High School.

One point was all that separated the Paola boys from the team title Friday, May 10. Paola scored 121 points. Piper won the team title with 122 points. Spring Hill placed third. Louisburg was fifth.

The Paola girls scored 105.5 points for second place in the team standings Friday, May 10. Baldwin won the team title by 7 points, posting 112.5 points. Spring Hill was fourth. Louisburg placed fifth.

Carson Eilts double-dipped his fingers in gold, winning the 110-meter high hurdles in 14.98 seconds and taking the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 38.77.

Eilts broke the Paola Panther 300-meter hurdle record. He also set a new league record in the event in the process.

Lamont Hill had a mark of 43-8.5 for first place in the triple jump. He was fourth in the long jump.

Seth Richmond and Jeff Schartz of Paola placed first and second in the javelin. Richmond won the event with a mark of 188-2. Richmond was runner-up in the 110-meter high hurdles. He placed fourth in the 300-meter hurdles.

Mckenzie Gagnebin won the discus with a mark of 110 feet, 2 inches. She placed third in the shot put.

Darian Hudgeons ran a time of 11:55 for first place in the 3,200-meter run. She placed fourth in the 1,600.

Preston Martin cleared 12-6 for second place in the pole vault.

Kenzie Gray was second in the shot put.

The Lady Panthers were runner-up in the 4x800-meter relay, third in the 4x100 and fourth in the 4x400.

Connor Hasz, Evan Phillips, Ryan Wokutch and Eilts set a new Paola Panther record in the 4x100-meter relay, placing second. Paola was fourth in the 4x400 and sixth in the 4x800.

Wokutch placed third in the 200-meter dash. He was sixth in the 100,

Hasz was third in the long jump. He placed fifth in the triple jump.

Shelby Ratner placed third in the 100-meter hurdles. She was fourth in the 300 hurdles.

Morgan Clark tied for third place in the high jump.

Champions

Izzy Williams of Spring Hill ran a time of 25.41 for first place in the 200-meter dash. She was second in the 100-meter dash.

Carlee Gassman of Louisburg won the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 47.07. She was fifth in the long jump.

Delaney Wright had a leap of 17-4 for first place in the long jump. She placed third in the 200 and fourth in the 400.

The Louisburg boys won the 4x400-meter relay and placed third in the 4x100.

Trent Martin of Louisburg went over the bar at 13-6 for first place in the pole vault.

Runner-Up

Avery Graham of Louisburg placed second in the pole vault.

Madeline Belcher of Spring Hill was second in the javelin.

The Lady Cats placed second in the 4x100-meter relay. Louisburg was third in the 4x400.

Spring Hill was second in the 4x400-meter relay, fourth in the 4x800 and fifth in the 4x100.

Chris Williams of Louisburg placed second in the 400-meter dash.

Brennen Feeback of Spring Hill placed second in the long jump and third in the triple jump.

Bronze

Jordon Leach of Louisburg placed third in the 100-meter dash.

Spring Hill’s Lauren VanDesteeg placed third in the pole vault.

Alli Frank of Spring Hill was third in the triple jump. She tied for third place in the high jump.

Hunter Willyard of Spring Hill was third in the 400-meter dash.

Skyler Navratil of Spring Hill placed third in the 800-meter run.

Spring Hill’s Chase Rooney was third in the 300-meter hurdles. He placed fifth in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Noah Verbraken of Spring Hill placed third in the high jump.

Brenden Meek of Spring Hill placed third in the shot put and third in the discus.
