OSAWATOMIE – The Lady Trojans lost both games of a doubleheader against the Burlington Wildcats, despite five extra-base hits and eight runs.

Osawatomie lost the first game at Karl E. Cole Sports Complex by a final of 14-2 on Tuesday, April 23.

There was no quit in the Lady Trojans game, competing to the end. Catcher Tara Haag homered in the home half of the sixth inning.

Haag singled, homered, drove in two runs and scored.

Kaitlyn Fanning singled, doubled and scored.

Meadow Stull singled.

Fanning pitched the complete game, giving up 17 runs on 14 hits. She struck out two.

Fanning threw 112 pitched with 69 strikes.

Madie Ballou singled, tripled and scored in the second game.

Osawatomie scored two runs in each of the first two innings and left 14-6.

Lindsay Shippy singled, doubled, drove in one run and scored twice.

Molly Spencer singled, drove home one run and scored.

Courtney Harris had two base hits. Haag singled, walked twice and scored.

Skylar Gravatt doubled. Destanie Alacrn scored.

Fanning pitched all seven innings, allowing 14 runs on 18 hits. She struck out three.
