IOLA — The Osawatomie softball team left four runners on base in a heartbreaking 2-1 loss against Iola, suffering its first loss of the season.

The Lady Trojans rallied to take a 4-3 lead in the fifth inning of the second game Tuesday, April 16. Iola scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth and two more runs in the sixth to take the game 9-4.

Madie Ballou singled and drove in one run in the first game. Molly Spencer had two base hits and scored.

Kaitlyn Fanning tripled. Courtney Harris doubled.

Fanning pitched the complete game, allowing two runs on four hits.

Lindsay Shippy had two base hits in the second game, drove in two runs and scored.

Meadow Stull had three hits. Skylar Gravatt and Spencer singled.

Harris pitched the entire game.
