OSAWATOMIE – Boyd Cole, Thaid Timblin, Bryce Filipin and Jay Filipin ended the Francis Wendt Invitational for the Osawatomie boys with a run to gold in the 4x400-meter relay.

Bryce Filipin, Jay Filipin, Cole and Timblin crossed the finish line in 3 minutes, 38 seconds to leave with the gold in the final event at their home track and field meet Thursday, April 25.

Sutter Conrad, Jay Filipin, Cole and Timblin ran a time of 45.68 to win the 4x100-meter relay.

Emma Seidl placed in three events to lead the Lady Trojans, Seidl had a throw of 35-3.5 for first place in the shot put. She struck for silver and bronze as well, placing second in the javelin and third in the discus.

The Osawatomie boys placed third in the team standings, scoring 112 points. Spring Hill was sixth.

Cole won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.70.

Timblin and Cole were first and second in the 200-meter dash. Timblin crossed the line in 23.50 for first place. Cole was second. Timblin placed fourth in the 400-meter dash.

Justin Bradley won the javelin with a mark of 144 feet, 6 inches.

Kaiden Fields was runner-up in the discus. He placed fourth in the javelin and sixth in the shot put.

Jay Filipin placed third in the 400-meter dash.

Conrad placed third in the 300-meter hurdles.

Aaron Gulley, Bryce Filipin, Jay Filipin and Christian Aden placed third in the 4x800-meter relay.

Jace Prigel, Beau Beers, Romeo Smith and Chase Homrighausen placed second in the 4x200-meter junior varsity relay.

The Osawatomie girls posted 50 points for fifth place. Spring Hill finished seventh.

Kara Keuser placed third in the 1,600-meter run.

Rosalyn Johnson was third in the 300-meter hurdles.

Maria Bartlett, Samantha Dawley, Allaire Reed and Holly Freidline placed second in the 4x200-meter junior varsity relay.

Runner-up

Lorelei Harris, Spring Hill, placed second in the high jump.
