ATCHISON, Kan. — The Osawatomie Trojans came up one run short in a one-run game against Atchison in the Class 4A regional baseball tournament.

Osawatomie lost to Atchison by a final of 2-1 on Monday, May 14.

The Trojans fell behind 1-0 in the first inning.

Osawatomie put one run across in the third inning, knotting the game at 1-1.

The Trojans scored one run in the top of the fifth inning, taking a 2-1 lead.

Atchison answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth and went on to win it 3-2.

Seniors playing in their final high school baseball game for the Osawatomie Trojans were Brilynn Stults, Cyrus Kitchen, Anthony Pursley, Blake Green, Epi Spini and Cameron Kobe.

Osawatomie ended the season with a record of 4-12.

Spini singled, drove home one run and scored in the regional playoff game against Atchison. He walked twice and stole a base.

Stults singled, stole a base and scored. Green singled and scored. Kitchen singled and scored. Kobe singled and walked.

Bailey Cornelison stole a base. John Hebert walked twice.

Stults pitched the complete game, allowing three runs on six hits. He fanned 11.
