PAOLA — Aspen Lawn Care scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning to secure a 10-6 victory against Smail and Associates.

Aspen Lawn Care struck for five runs in the first inning in the Paola Youth Baseball 9-10 year-old Minor Division game Friday, June 28.

Tenner Simpson singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored for Aspen Lawn Care.

Dominick Poetter singled, doubled, drove in one run and scored. Brody Kerr singled twice, drove in one run and scored twice.

Peyton Simpson singled twice, walked and scored three runs. Ashton Bonham singled, walked twice and scored two runs. Bennett Simpson singled and scored. Tyler Sullivan singled. Colton Whitney drove in one run. Logan Fields scored.

Peyton Simpson burned up the base paths, stealing six bases. Bohnam and Kerr each stole four bases. Bennett Simpson and Tanner Simpson each had three stolen bases. Poetter swiped two bases.

Mason Stein singled and drove in two runs for Smail and Associates.

Troy Leonard singled, drove in one run and scored twice. Will Hardwick singled and scored. Gage Burchett scored two runs.

Logan Marler and Braeden Doherty each drove in one run.

Stein stole three bases. Leonard had two stolen bases.

Bonham started the game for Aspen Lawn Care. He allowed four runs on one hit. Bonham stuck out five.

Tanner Simpson pitched the final two innings in relief. He gave up two runs on two hits. Simpson fanned four batters.

Marler pitched the complete game for Smail and Associates. He allowed five runs on 11 hits.

Smail and Associates had a perfect night in the field, recording 12 put uts without making a single error.

Aspen Lawn Care was solid in the field as well, making 12 putouts without an error.
