PAOLA — The Marcum Volleyball Academy starts its summer of volleyball in June.

Cadi Stuteville Marcum, a graduate of Paola High School, started the academy nine years ago.

Class sizes are limited to 80 now, making sure each girl has more one-on-one instruction and more repetition on drills.

Marcum will be offering sessions Sunday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m..

The academy starts the Sunday, June 30, and runs through Monday, Aug. 5.

Marcum was the Class 4A State Player of the Year and Kansas High School Player of the Year her senior year. She was inducted into the Paola High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
