FRONTENAC – The Prairie View Lady Buffalo softball team split a doubleheader on the road against Frontenac.

Frontenac scored seven runs in the final two innings to take an 11-9 win in the opener Friday, April 12.

Prairie View scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning and held on to win the second game 15-13 despite a five-run seventh inning rally by Frontenac.

Julia Paisley doubled twice in the first game, drove home two runs and scored.

Grace Aust singled and drove in two runs. Rylee Boone singled, walked and scored twice.

Karson Gochenour walked twice, singled and scored two runs. Ashlyn Kirkpatrick and Kenna Walker both singled and scored.

Charlie Boone singled, drove in one run and scored. Braxton Stainbrook singled.

Walker pitched the complete game and took the loss. She allowed 11 runs on 12 hits.

Stainbrook had four hits in the second game, driving home two runs.

Kirkpatrick tripled, drove in three runs and scored. Rylee Boone doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs.

Paisely singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored three runs. Aust singled, doubled, drove in one run and scored.

Charlie Boone singled, drove in one run and scored twice. Gochenour scored two runs. Lauren Aust scored.

Paisley started and worked into the fifth inning. Charlie Boone and Paisley pitched in relief. Boone got the win.
