LA CYGNE — Runs were hard to come by for the Prairie View baseball team in a home loss against Frontenac.

The Prairie View Buffalos were shut out 3-0 in the contest Friday, April 12.

Chase Bloodgood singled twice and stole two bases. Gradey Gregg had two base hits.

Gavin Cullor, Hunter Minden, Brock Heide and Gage Bloodgood each had a single.

Prairie View stranded eight runners on base.

Johnny Molina pitched the complete game, allowing three runs on 11 hits in seven innings.

The Buffalos swept a doubleheader at Burlington on Tuesday, April 9.

Hiede and Minden both doubled and drove in two runs in the first game, leading Prairie View to a 7-3 victory.

Cullor had three base hits and scored three runs. Justin Scott drove in one run and scored.

Molina pitched into the sixth inning. He gave up three runs on nine hits.

Walker allowed just one hit in scoreless relief.

Scott doubled, singled twice, drove in two runs and scored in the second game.

Riley Rhynerson singled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice.

Cullor had three base hits, drove home three runs and scored twice. Molina had three hits and scored.

Gregg had two hits and drove home one run. Minden singled and drove in one run. Heide singled and scored.

Scott worked four innings, allowing one run on three hits. Chambers pitched three innings in relief.
