IOLA — Braxton Stainbrook doubled in the top of the 10th inning, driving home two runs to lead the Prairie View softball team to victory on the road at Iola.

Stainbrook’s double lifted the Lady Buffalos to an 8-5 victory.

Prairie View split the doubleheader Tuesday, April 2. The Lady Buffalos lost the first game 11-1.

The Prairie View Lady Buffalo softball team improved to 3-1 on the season with the split.

Julia Paisley tripled in the second game, driving home three runs in a four-run second. Prairie View took a 5-0 lead.

Iola rallied with two runs in the second and two runs in the fourth before tying the game with one run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Stainbrook broke the 5-5 tie with her double in the 10th inning rally.

Paisley walked, tripled, drove in four runs and scored. Stainbrook walked, doubled, drove in two runs and scored.

Grace Aust singled twice, doubled and drove in one run. Ashlyn Kirkpatrick doubled and scored. Rylee Boone walked twice, had two singles and scored two runs. Kenzie McAtee, Kenna Walkler and Karson Gochenour singled and scored.

Boone stole two bases. Paisely had a stolen base.

Paisley pitched all 10 innings, allowing five runs on 12 hits. She struck out six and walked one.

Boone singled and tripled in the first game.

Stainbrook singled. Paisely walked.

Kenna Walker started the game, allowing six runs.

Charlee Boone and Paisley pitched in relief.

The Lady Buffalos swept Santa Fe Trail at home March 26 by scores of 11-1 and 7-4.

Paisley singled, doubled, drove home three runs and scored in the first game.

Stainbook hit two doubles, tripled, drove in one run and scored. Boone singled, tripled, drove in one run, scored twice and stole four bases.

Kirkpatrick and Walker doubled, drove in one run and scored. Aust doubled.

Charlee Boone walked three times and scored three runs. Gochenour and McAtee singled.

Walker pitched the complete game for the win.

Stainbrook singled, doubled twice, drove in three runs and scored in the second game.

Paisley doubled and drove in one run. Kirkpatrick singled and drove in one run. Walker walked, tripled and scored twice.

Aust doubled, drove in one run and scored. McAtee singled twice and scored. Kirkpatrick drove in one run.

Paisely started the game and got the win. Charlee Boone and Walker pitched in relief.
