SPRING HILL — Maggie McNally pitched a no-hitter against St. James, sending the Spring Hill Lady Broncos softball team to the Class 5A regional championship game.

The Lady Broncos defeated St. James 11-1 in the opening round of the Class 5A regionals at Spring Hill High School on Monday, May 14.

Spring Hill took a 1-0 lead into the fifth inning of the title game against Lansing.

Lansing struck for three runs in the fifth inning, two runs in the sixth inning and an insurance run in the seventh to win the game 6-1.

Spring Hill ended the season with a record of 12-6.

Playing in their final high school softball game for the Spring Hill Lady Broncos were Chloe Roberts and Alayney Steging.

McNally pitched the complete game in the opener, throwing a no-hitter. She walked four and allowed one run. McNally struck out six.

Spring Hill struck for four runs in the first inning and never looked back in the 11-1 victory.

Gage Pinkerton doubled and drove in two runs.

Olivia Favinger doubled, stole a base and scored.

Peyton Flood walked, singled, drove in two runs and scored twice.

Avery Anderson singled, walked twice, stole a base and scored three runs.

Mariah Hess singled and scored.

Roberts singled and scored. McNally drove in one run. Porscha Stocker scored.

Paige Cooper doubled against Lansing.

Pinkerton walked and had two base hits.

Stocker drove in one run. Roberts singled and scored. Hess singled.

Vaness Murray, Anderson and Roberts turned a double play.

Murray started the game, allowing four runs on seven hits in five innings. She struck out seven.

Steging pitched the final two innings in relief.
