HELEN FANN
Helen Frances Fann, also known as Miss Helen, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her immediate family on August 19, 2025, at the age of 98. She was a resident of Independence, and formerly of Belton, Missouri.
Miss Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband of 80 years, John Robert Fann, a WWII P.O.W., and her son, Michael Robert Fann. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Roberts (Vince Glisson) and Mary McIntire, as well as 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Miss Helen was deeply devoted to her family and was known for her protective nature. She took great pride in her husband and family. Her love for her dog, Ernie, was well-known, and she found joy in yard work, flowers, and birds. She was also an excellent cook, fondly remembered for her Bavarian pudding.
A family graveside service will be held at Olathe Memorial Cemetery on August 26, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
Pallbearers will include Connor Curtis, Austin Alexander, Jadyn Spitler, Vince Alexander, Vince Glisson, and Colton Alexander.
Miss Helen’s life was a testament to her love and dedication to her family, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.
