Carl Grant Weir, 91, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Monday, January 6, 2025.
 CG was born on November 7, 1933 to Carl M. and F. Genevieve (Babb) Weir. CG grew up in Spring Hill and graduated from Spring Hill High School in 1952. After high school, he attended Kansas State University to receive his BS Agriculture degree in 1956. CG moved back to Spring Hill to help with his family’s farm. He continued to raise cattle throughout his lifetime. He was a lifelong lover of all creatures great and small. He cared for many animals inside and out through his entire life. He was a lifelong area resident.
 CG married Becky Lundgren in Ottawa, Kansas, on February 29, 1988. CG will be remembered as an avid reader who enjoyed participating in book clubs. He liked listening to jazz music and watching old movies.
 CG was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Becky, Spring Hill, Kansas; brother Ted Weir, Omaha, Nebraska; and the family that picked him, Meredith Lockard, Kathryn Lockard, and Jack Lockard, who all lovingly called him Grandpa.
