Booe named executive director of Miami County Community Foundation

Tammy Booe of Osawatomie has been named the executive director of the Miami County Community Foundation.The foundation was established in 2007 with a mission to improve the business climate, quality of life, and cultural and educational development in Miami County.The foundation consists of several donor-advised funds and scholarship funds of all sizes.“We are dedicated to supporting the community where we work, live, and play,” Tammy said.The Foundation assists donors in achieving their philanthropic objectives by establishing restricted and unrestricted endowments during their lifetime or through planned giving.Income from these endowments and donations are used to provide grants to various Miami County nonprofit organizations that are positively impacting their communities, according to a news release.The foundation recently received a grant to hire a full-time executive director effective Sept.
