LOUISBURG – A former employee of Timbercreek Bar & Grill in Louisburg is being investigated for reportedly manipulating receipts and stealing credit card information from customers. The Louisburg Police Department is asking anyone who visited the restaurant between the dates of July 31 and Aug.

PAOLA – Dennis Hinman was 26 years old in the fall of 1973 when a few of his friends convinced him to sign up as a volunteer for the Paola Fire Department. Dennis was working for Phillips Petroleum Company but had a flexible schedule and decided to take on the new challenge.

PAOLA – Paola USD 368 won’t be collecting any more property tax from its residents in the 2024-2025 budget than it did the prior year thanks to a revenue- neutral budget recently approved by Paola school board members.
