LORRAINE CATHERINE HEITERT-CHANDLEE Lorraine Catherine Heitert- Chandlee, who grew up listening to FDR’s fireside chats, witnessed the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Vietnam War, Neil Armstrong’s moon walk, and the first personal computer, passed on July 27, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas. She was 94 years old.
Jack Eastman, 92, gently passed on July 26 at his long time residence in Paola. He was surrounded by family at the time. He left behind 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 18 greatgrandchildren and 8 greatgreat- grandchildren.
Ned L. Kelsey, age 95 of Paola, passed away Aug. 3. Rosary will be Aug. 9 at 6:30 p.m. with the visitation following at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Aug. 10 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Memorials can be made to the church or to Lakemary c/o Dengel & Son Mortuary-Paola Chapel. A full obituary will be posted in next weeks paper.
