Duane C. Harrison was called home to his Lord on May 24, 2025. Duane was born May 26, 1939, in a little house outside of Henson, KS to Kathryn and James Harrison. He attended Paola High School and went into the Airforce after graduation.
 Duane worked at several jobs over the years in the Miami and Johnson County area before retiring to raise exotic birds.
 He lived most of his life in Wellsville, KS then moved to the Paola area before moving to Lake of the in 2020 with his son and daughter-in-law.
 He enjoyed sitting on his deck and watching to wildlife and visiting with the fishermen on the lake.
 Duane was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joan, Opal, Doris, and one brother Claud.
 He is survived by his sons Rex, Daniel, and Doug; daughters Laura and Debbie, many, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
 Celebration of life will be at the First Baptist Church, 207 E. Wea St., Paola, KS 66071, June 14th at 11:00. He will be buried at New Lancaster Cemetery after the service.
 We will be going back to the church for lunch and would invite anyone that can come to join us. We would love to hear some stories of his younger days.
