Hubert “Hugh” Eugene Ketcher, 84, Spring Hill, Kansas passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Village of Olathe. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 with a funeral service to follow at Antioch Community Baptist Church, 22668 S. Waverly Rd, Spring Hill, Kansas.  Hugh was born on January 30, 1940 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Hubert Chub and Sylvia Lee (Richards) Ketcher. He grew up in Miami, Oklahoma. Hugh’s family moved to Iola, Kansas where he graduated from Iola High School and then attended Allen County Community College, Iola, Kansas. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree from Emporia State University, Emporia, Kansas. Hugh was a 5th grade School Teacher at Ridgeview Elementary, Olathe, retiring after 32 years. He also worked as a Farmer; Hugh was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. On March 9, 1957, Hugh married Donna J. Roe in Miami, Oklahoma. They moved to Spring Hill in 1973.
 Hugh was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dennis Ketcher. He is survived by his wife Donna of the home; sisters Wanda (Gary) Gourd, Gardner, Kansas and Barbara (Larry) Boucher, Peculiar, Missouri and brothers Lonnie (Cheryl) Ketcher, Grandview, Missouri and Joe (Ruth) Ketcher, Yates Center, Kansas.
