Lloyd George Myers, 92, Wellsville, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Sat, November 2, 2024 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, Spring Hill, Kansas. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, Kansas. Lloyd was born on March 24, 1932 in Orrtanna, Pennsylvania to George W. Myers and Alma Mae (Slonaker) Myers. He grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Gettysburg High School. Lloyd was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving from 1950-1954. He worked as a lineman and engineer for the telephone company. Lloyd lived in Spring Hill and Paola before moving to Wellsville. He was a member of American Legion Post 156, Paola, Kansas. Lloyd loved to hunt deer and upland game. His favorite places to hunt were in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, Wisconsin, Kansas and Pennsylvania. He also enjoyed teaching hunter’s safety to others.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Janice and Betty Ann. He is survived by his daughters: Debbi (Tom) Duncan, Paola, Kansas, Tracie (Bob) Clary, Lenexa, Kansas, Sandi Chessari (Chevelle Howard), Independence, Kansas and Jennifer (Dan) Border, Sachse, Texas; sons: Don (Tracy) Myers, Wellsville, Kansas, Jeffrey (Amy) Myers, Wichita, Kansas and Mike (Amber Locke) Myers, Wellsville, Kansas; stepson Ryan (Charli) Murphy, Ottawa, Kansas; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
