Young Louisburg anglers will get a chance to show off their skills Saturday, June 15.

The city's 24th annual fishing derby will take place from 7 to 10 a.m. at Ron Weers Park in Louisburg. Registration is at 7 a.m. A hot dog lunch will be provided after the derby, which is for ages 16 and under. 

Prizes will be awarded for most fish, biggest fish and most inches caught.

Participants need to bring their own poles and buckets, but hooks, worms and bobbers are provided.
